Response Volunteer

Eligibility Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Reside within a reasonable response distance of Simcoe County or surrounding areas
  • Be physically and mentally capable of responding to emergency situations
  • Have reliable transportation to and from response locations
  • Possess a valid cell phone with data and reliable service
  • Be legally eligible to volunteer in Ontario, Canada
  • Comfortable dealing with various sick and injured animals


All Response Volunteers are required to:

  • Complete and submit a Volunteer Application Form
  • Provide two references upon request
  • Provide a Criminal Record Check uppon request
  • Successfully complete an interview or onboarding review
